Networking Skills Workshop ~ First Impressions

CU Boulder Career Services is offering A Workshop & Networking Event for Students to Fine-Tune Their Networking Skills

Not sure how to initiate a conversation and keep it flowing smoothly?

This workshop and networking event will help students & alumni develop and

practice their social skills and professional etiquette with industry

professionals. Employers will assist you in practicing your technique to

help you stand out and make a memorable first and lasting impression at the

Career Fair and other networking events.

Keynote Speaker & Trainer: Debra Fine, best-selling author of The Fine Art

of Small Talk, will offer you instruction on mastering your introduction,

remembering names, keeping the conversation going, rapport-building skills,

and approaching networking functions and career fairs with confidence.

This is a very interactive workshop, engaging both students and employers.

NETWORKING: After a brief presentation and practice session, students/alumni

and employers will have the opportunity to converse about career

opportunities, just as you would at a career fair, but in a networking
