*User Operations Analyst Job Description :

Facebook is seeking analysts to join our User Operations team. Analysts are responsible for maintaining user safety, engagement, and site understanding by responding to email inquiries and abuse reports. Additionally, this position is responsible for understanding, analyzing, and communicating patterns in user behavior to the rest of the company. This is a full-time position located in our Austin, Texas office.

. Respond to contacts from users regarding a variety of site issues;
. Enforce our Terms of Use by carefully monitoring reports of abuse on the site;
. Analyze user interaction with the product and communicate this analysis to others within the department and company Identify inefficiencies in work flow and suggest solutions;
. Interface effectively with other teams


. Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
. Flexibility to take on multiple tasks;
. Extremely reliable, consistent, and hard-working;
. Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills; B.A., B.S., or higher;
. Deep understanding of Facebook preferred;
. Passion for ensuring a good user experience;
. Fluency in a foreign language a plus

*Risk Management Job Description :

The Risk Management team works with teams across the company to enable new features, help our users stay safe online, and protect our company’s assets. As part of the larger Online Operations organization, we are at the front lines of Facebook and act as the human touch-point with our users. Our primary job is to detect and investigate potential fraud and take action to stop it. Besides reacting to existing incidents, we also like to play offense. We utilize our knowledge and insight to analyze future products to identify fraud vulnerabilities. In both cases, we work with engineering to develop proprietary tools and techniques to locate and neutralize the perpetrators. Successful candidates for this job enjoy finding patterns amidst chaos, solving puzzles, making quick decisions, working collaboratively, admitting when they made a wrong decision, and probably have an organized house . . . or at least know where everything is. This position is located in our Austin, Texas office.

. Help team achieve revenue goals through prevention of fraud;
. Work with various departments to improve tools and processes for identifying and preventing fraud;
. Assist in fraud investigations including – reviewing accounts and transactions, detecting fraud trends, and summarizing key findings;
. Identify trends to enhance the support and fraud detection process and improve team efficiency;
. Review and take action on reports of fraud from outside partners such as chargebacks from banks;
. Manage, coordinate, and/or support risk / payment projects as needed
. Ability to think in a data driven way and cultivate a data driven team
o Ability to translate/report data tied back to business operations and that clearly “tells the story”
o Knowing when you should conduct an experiment
o Able to think logically and effectively reason out errors

. BA/BS degree from a leading academic institution;
