Volunteer with Boulder High Students involved in Youth Radio ~ afterschool mentoring

Youth Radio and Radio Arts is a community-linked language and literacy program for second language learners at Boulder High.

The class meets five days a week 6th period (see Bell Schedule http://schools.bvsd.org/boulderhigh/bellschedule.aspx), with Wednesdays and Thursdays devoted to radio production, and Tuesday and Thursday to afterschool mentoring. The program is being offered to help youth develop their personal and public voices, to connect school learning to youth lives and interests outside of school, and to develop thee tools to represent themselves and their communities rather than be (mis)represented by the media.
