Attention students! Want to learn about social justice & find your community at CU?
INVST is accepting applications … Our deadline is Monday, February 18th!
Do you want to make a positive difference in the world, but you’re not sure how to get started? INVST might be for you. We offer training to prepare you to make a positive difference and help improve your community.
The INVST Community Leadership Program is a 2-year training experience for students who are interested in social justice & environmental sustainability. Our small-group experience combines academics, community service and leadership skills training. INVST provides a sense of community on campus. We offer two life-changing summer travel opportunities that allow you to learn about energy & power in the US Southwest, and immigration & economic globalization. And, by participating in INVST you can earn the CU Certificate in the Study & Practice of Leadership.
These financial awards may be available for those who participate in INVST:
— AmeriCorps Education Award: Students admitted to INVST may be eligible to receive an AmeriCorps Education Award for up to $2,000 for their participation. The tuition waiver is distributed after the completion of 300 community service hours.
— A limited number of scholarships will be granted. The Jim Downton Community Leadership Scholarship of $2,000 towards CU tuition will be awarded to one student in the incoming Community Leadership Program class.
