Tunnel of Oppression

The Hallett Hall’s Diversity Program would like to invite you to the annual Tunnel of Oppression program. This program aims to educate people on the different types of oppression that exist today. Through visual representation, we hope to demonstrate the different ways in which racism, classism, ableism, ageism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and other forms of oppression are still prevalent in our society and campus. We also hope that with this experience people are able to see their own privilege and help eliminate the cycle of oppression.

The program will take place Sunday, March 3rd through Tuesday, March 5th, Spring 2013 in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom. It will run for three days and will be open to the public at no charge. The hours will be from 2:00pm to 9:00pm on Sunday and 11 am to 9 pm on Monday and Tuesday. Participants can go through the showcase at their own pace.
