City Year, an education focused non-profit organization with a mission to end the drop-out crisis in America, is hiring young idealists of all backgrounds who can commit to one year of full-time service in schools. These 17 to 24 year olds, or Corps members, will serve as tutors, mentors, and role models to students, while partnering with teachers, to build positive relationships with students and their families in order to keep kids in school and on track to graduate. At the same time, Corps members receive a living stipend, health insurance, federal student loan forbearance, a scholarship, and weekly training in leadership development, diversity awareness, networking skills, and post-City Year opportunities!
