Job Title: Bilingual Outreach Coordinator
Position Summary: The Bilingual Outreach Coordinator assists in the coordination and implementation of the Community Health Education & Outreach program as described below.
Hours: This is 24 hour per week position that requires early mornings, late evenings and occasional Saturdays.
Could potentially be full-time position: 3 days a week as Bilingual Outreach Coordinator and 2 days a week as Front Office Clinic Assistant. Please request job posting for Front Office Assistant if you are interested in this combined position.

Scope of Responsibility / Position Summary:
The Bilingual Outreach Coordinator works as part of the Youth Services Program to provide developmentally appropriate comprehensive sexual health education and outreach to youth, families and adults through our Community Education Program.
Mission of Women’s Health:
The Mission of Women’s Health (Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center) is to provide accessible, confidential and comprehensive gynecological and reproductive healthcare, including sexual health services and education.
Description of Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, coordinate and facilitate community health outreach efforts to mono-lingual Spanish speakers. Maintain strong community ties by monitoring or serving on community committees and coalitions. Monitor advertising and marketing for the Latino/a population. Be the voice of the agency and the Youth Services Program at all community events.
Provide developmentally appropriate, comprehensive sexual health education for middle and high school aged youth in English & Spanish. Present in the St. Vrain Valley and Boulder Valley School Districts as well as community groups. Create sexual health parent presentations for mono-lingual Spanish speakers. Represent the agency when presenting and advocate for youth in the community at large. Facilitate presentation evaluations.
Interpret for Spanish-speaking patients receiving services at Women’s Health. Prepare all reading materials, educational handouts, and general information in Spanish.
Attend mandatory general staff meetings on the third Thursday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attend monthly Community Health Education meeting.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Spanish bilingual/bicultural required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with adolescents and enjoys working with adolescents.
- Excellent public speaking and group facilitation skills a must.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of health issues (including: medical terminology, STIs, Contraception and relationship issues)
- Extensive knowledge of gender, race, class and sexual orientation issues.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to work well with others and independently.
- Internet savvy a plus
- MUST support reproductive justice
