A Conversation on Race and Ethnicity in Education

Thursday, February 20th EDUC 231 7:15pm – 8:15pm

flyer: EDS_race&education_2014

What does it mean to live, learn, and teach in a multi-racial society?

Join the Education Diversity Scholars (EDS) and School of Education faculty for a discussion and conversation on our race, ethnicity and education.
A short presentation will be followed by a moderated discussion in which we will explore:

* Our personal relationships to race
* Current issues for students, teachers, parents, and policy-makers

* What the future holds for our increasingly diverse schools

We invite all teacher education students, those interested in education, and anyone with an interest in equity and social justice to join us!
